Internships

Tell Me About the AFPTC Internship Program.

The program is designed to select a highly qualified and diverse intern team that brings together valuable differences and fresh perspectives. Candidates for participation in the AFPTC internship program will generally fit into four categories, which are specific to the degree of education and expertise that the intern brings to the position. These four categories also determine the onboarding criteria that must be met in order for the intern to be in compliance with AFPTC Internship guidelines.

Our internships are designed to take advantage of each person’s specialized skills, making every effort to give the intern an opportunity to work on meaningful projects and participate in staff activities whenever possible and appropriate.

If there is any question of category for a candidate, the Intern Captain/Clinical Instructor will partner with HR to provide a suitable opportunity. The Intern Captain provides a clear point of contact for his or her center so that interns may ask questions and receive assistance related to the process.
